Business Migration Lead - M365

Based in London (working from home until further notice) a Business Migration Lead is required on a contract basis to work on a project which is migrating users to M365 platform.

You will be responsible for a defined set of business users within a group or team and will work closely with a selection of stakeholders such as Change Champions, Records Managers and IT Coordinators to guide the business through the migration journey from start to end.

Candidates can work through a Limited Company for this role.

Responsibilities:

  • Early engagement to build understanding and awareness of the change ahead
  • Kick the users off with the required migration preparatory activities and provide guidance and support throughout the completion of these
  • Gather core information about the group/team to build a clear view of their structure, data requirements, possible migration window and dependencies with other parts which may have impact on the migration
  • Manage the T-minus comms activity for the group/team using the programme's T-minus toolkit
  • Set up and run business stakeholder remote meetings to provide updates and gather feedback about the progress being made with preparatory activities, highlighting any concerns into the programme
  • Signpost the group/team to training material and support processes to ensure they are prepared to use the new tools and feel confidence in their early experience post migration
  • Evaluate business stakeholder feedback as part the programme's lessons learned process
  • Help others by undertaking general tasks not related to your discipline when required
  • Motivate self and others to continually reflect and adapt to improve quality and delivery cadence

Skills and experience required:

  • Experience of been responsible for a defined set of business users within a group or team and working closely with a selection of stakeholders such as Change Champions, Records Managers and IT Coordinators to guide the business through the migration journey from start to end.
  • An initiative and a flexible approach to gather requirements from the business stakeholders, manage an aggressive plan through to delivery (with some resistance likely from some stakeholders) and work closely with colleagues within the Microsoft 365 programme team.
  • Understanding of Microsoft 365 and the Teams application, in addition to experience in working in a complex and busy organisation with multiple offices spread across the world.
  • Experience of managing the T-minus comms activity for the group/team using the programme's T-minus toolkit.
  • Experience of Signposting a group/team to training material and support processes to ensure they are prepared to use the new tools and feel confidence in their early experience post migration.
