Deliver targeted reviews through a structured methodology, based on a pan-bank risk assessment with input from 1 & 3 LOD. Champion a strong risk management culture within my team and with my peers and ensure risks are identified, documented and managed within the Bank's risk appetite

What You'll be Responsible for:

  • Deliver thematic and programme specific Assurance reviews through formal methodologies/approach owned by the Assurance team
  • Have in-depth knowledge of change delivery and change management, including alternative ways of working (e.g. agile, hybrid-agile)
  • Proactively identify risks and where risks are identified, I assess whether they are effectively managed and escalated to senior management where necessary.
  • AI assess the suite of controls in place to detect, prevent or mitigate risks
  • Produce quality reporting, detailing agreed actions and follow up activities
  • Manage risk appropriately within my role and suggest improvements
  • Attend and assess relevant governance committees, meetings or NWT's
  • Engage with colleagues to improve risk management
  • Work within the risk management and policy framework
  • Champion innovation and ideas generation to encourage a culture where everyone is involved and no idea is a bad one
  • Achieving great results by inspiring, engaging and leading others; you make colleagues feel valued
  • Knowing your subject and sharing your enthusiasm
  • Providing relevant SME guidance

What You'll Bring:

  • Good experience gained within financial services/ risk management
  • Knowledge of risk management frameworks
  • Proven track record of working in flexible environment and delivering to deadlines
  • Experience of proactive delivery of project deliverables
  • Understanding of regulatory, legal and compliance issues affecting financial services industry
  • Experience within one of the other lines of defence is desirable
