Outsource is partnering with long-established and well-known high street financial institutions to bring you a fantastic opportunity for the role of a Database Administrator.
The Role:
You will be responsible for the following tasks in this role:
- Support and administer the core applications and database systems in compliance with SLA's
- Assist with the delivery of internal and ITSS project plans
- Provide 2nd line support out of hours for applications and databases associated with business-critical systems
- Assist with projects in system and database design, implementation, support and understand project requirements
- Provide input into database and system design
- Assist in recovering core databases and systems during disaster recovery
- Ensure critical data has suitable backup policies and scripts are tested and working.
- the ability to think critically and work alone or as part of a team.
Required Skills:
- Working knowledge and experience with Oracle 12c & 19c
- Oracle related tools (OEM/ Grid control, Toad, Putty, ASM, SQL Developer, ODBC)
- Working knowledge and experience with SQL server 2014 - 2019 DBs
- Working knowledge and experience with core OS's (Windows Server 2016 and Red Hat Linux)
- Working knowledge and experience with T-SQL and PL/SQL
- Working knowledge of 24 by 7 operational practices
- Understanding of current and future technologies
