Electrical Process Planner - DITMCO

Based in Preston a Electrical Process Planner is required to work for a major defence client on a 12 month contract.

Overview:

  • Responsible for ensuring that the original design intent is met in the finished product.
  • Engineers translate design information in the form of CAD models, drawings, material and manufacturing process specifications into repeatable processes as part of the Manufacturing Engineering process, documenting the optimum manufacturing methods in written and/or pictorial instructions with due regard to cost and quality.
  • For aircraft maintenance, engineers translate approved data into productionised work instructions ensuring that all elements of the maintenance schedule are included. This is achieved by providing a documented, safe, capable, repeatable method which will dictate the sequence of manufacturing or maintenance and tooling/equipment required.
  • Also responsible for the execution of Standard Time Values (e.g. MOST timing), creation of MBOMs reconcilable to the Design BOMs, inspection stages, quality records, DITMCO programming and electrical testing.
