IT Project Manager
About the role:
Due to continued business growth and expansion plans, we have an exciting opportunity for an experienced IT Project Manager to join the Project Management team in West Midlands supporting a significant Business Expansion Programme to manage the successful delivery of large-scale projects that have high visibility internally and externally.
You will lead project teams in determining business requirements, translating these into operational/business plans and ensuring, through individual SME’s that each project interdependencies is understood and managed to ensure the entire Project is delivered on time, within budget, and in line with internal BCA submissions.
Key accountabilities and responsibilities will include the following:
  • Manage the overall planning, control, status reporting, stability, and project delivery.
  • Develop detailed project plans, schedules, estimates, resource plans, and status reports to inform the Senior Management team.
  • Responsible for managing the budget and reporting the progress of the project on an ongoing basis.
  • Establish reporting structures inside the project team, ensure team engagement, and review the performance of project team members.
  • Implement strategic project management initiatives.
  • Manage the overall planning, control, status reporting, stability, and delivery of local medium / large projects (single / multi-area or product) to ensure that project goals and objectives are met within agreed-upon time, scope, budget, and resource requirements.
  • Manage the issues on the project, drive resolution of issues for a satisfactory outcome, and escalate issues as appropriate.
  • Manage the scope of the project. Document scope changes and gain approval by required parties to ensure benefit realisation.
  • Function as a subject matter expert in areas where the project manager has expertise (e.g., automation, Operations, Property, and Construction, etc)
  • Deliver best practice project documentation, completed to quality standards, kept up to date, available throughout the project, and maintained in the project database.
  • Manage the application of the ACT change management methodology and approach. Identify, manage, and influence stakeholders to achieve business benefits.
  • Implement previous lessons learned output and feedback to drive continuous improvement.
What are the requirements?
  • 3-5 years experience in logistics (desirable)
  • DePICT project management methodology (essential)
  • ACT change management methodology (desirable)
  • DMAIC process improvement methodology (desirable)
  • 3-5 years experience in project management roles (essential)
