Maintenance Engineer x 2 - UMMS and Warship knowledge
Maintenance Engineers with knowledge of UMMS and Warships knowledge is required to work on a six month contract with the possibility of extension for our Defence client based in Portsmouth.
Overview of the Maintenance Engineer contract role
Understanding of ship and engineering maintenance / repair planning and delivery skills working under a sustained pressurised environment.
Skills Required: Possesses knowledge of the fundamentals within the maintenance engineering discipline, including industry and MoD maintenance management tools and processes.
Good IT skills, particularly use of appropriate MoD and IS applications: UMMS, RCM Toolkit, TITANIUM, MS Office, MS Project, and Internet Explorer.
Knowledge of UMMS
Knowledge of maintenance principles on warships
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
Desirable but not essential
Knowledge of RCM and/or FMEA / FMECA principles
Knowledge of Product Breakdown Structures
Knowledge of LSAR
The role is based in Portsmouth, Hampshire - commutable from Southampton, Cowes, Isle of Wight, Salisbury, Winchester, Andover, Basingstoke, Guildford, Aldershot, Crawley, Horsham, Brighton, Worthing, Chichester.
