Material Provision Coordinator
Client: BAE Systems
Location: Portsmouth
Duration: 12 months
Rate: £16.68 PAYE
  
Join BAE Systems as a Material Provision Coordinator and play a vital role in ensuring materials and tooling are ready and available to support production teams. Collaborate across planning, supply chain, and production to enable seamless project delivery while maintaining the highest standards of efficiency and safety.
  
Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and oversee pre-production materials and tooling to ensure they are kitted, available, and ready for production.
  • Work closely with stores and supply chain teams to support the daily release of work to production.
  • Maintain and monitor consumable containers and forward spares lockers to ensure availability.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to improve material provision and adjust stock levels as needed.
  • Resolve material and tooling issues through effective problem-solving and root-cause analysis.
  • Ensure materials meet safety, health, and compliance standards before release.
  
What We’re Looking For:
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to liaise effectively with planning, production, and supply chain teams.
  • Good understanding of material provision for engineering projects, including interpreting engineering specifications and drawings.
  • Proficiency in IFS, Excel, and Word.
  • Ability to manage priorities, work to tight schedules, and maintain high levels of customer focus.
  • Knowledge of health and safety standards and financial awareness to deliver value for money.
