Up to £55k + annual bonus + benefits
Permanent, Full-Time
Hybrid (1 day per week in the Edinburgh office)

We are recruiting on behalf of a well-known banking group based in Edinburgh for a Product Controls Manager. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to enhance their expertise in product design, lending products (credit cards and loans), and risk and control management.

As a key player in the Loans and Services team, you will work closely with internal stakeholders and Centres of Expertise, reporting to the Senior Customer Value Manager. Your role will be crucial in ensuring the effective management of credit products, contributing to better customer and commercial outcomes, and ensuring compliance with risk management frameworks.

What you’ll be doing:
  • Managing and improving processes and controls for credit cards and loan products.
  • Working with teams across the bank to investigate issues and implement necessary improvements.
  • Reporting on how well product management processes and controls are working.
  • Understanding and documenting product features, benefits, and communications.
  • Helping to develop new product features to improve customer experience and business outcomes
What we’re looking for:
  • Proven experience with lending products (credit cards and loans), product management, and related processes.
  • Strong analytical skills with a methodical and logical approach to problem-solving and investigations.
  • A solid understanding of risk and control frameworks, with experience in ensuring compliance with these standards.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills and the confidence to challenge and drive resolution of issues.
Nice to have:
  • Experience using SAS, SQL, or similar tools for data analysis.
  • Experience in designing new controls, transforming existing controls, and evaluating the effectiveness of control frameworks.
  • Background in Operational Risk management, facilitating Risk and Control Assessments, and producing risk documentation.
