Role: Project Management Officer

Overview: -

A great opportunity for the right person to join a forward thinking, high-tech, and innovative defence company. With around 5000 staff worldwide, this role will be in their software division. They specialise in the development and manufacture and supply of maritime navigation and surveillance radar systems, including their own radar sensor technology, widely used in the maritime defence sector.

The specific activities for the Project Management Officer will be responsible for:

  • Design and Implement an effective labour resource management system aimed at providing management information on labour utilisation, resource conflict and capacity loading.
  • From Resource plan undertake first line conflict resolutions with the programme/project managers and the executing departments.
  • Thereafter, support the Business Lines in making informed decisions relating to resource planning, usage and conflict resolution.
  • Develop a suite of KPIs to provide management information on resource capacity and utilisation.
  • Deputise in areas of governance and control for the Head of Programmes
  • Any other tasks associated with this role

  • Strong analysis/analytical skills with proofed capability to integrate data, identify trends and share recommendations at all levels of the organisation
  • Ability to communicate complex matters with simplicity - persuasive with details and facts
  • Solid problem-solving
  • Effective interpersonal communication and negotiation skills
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
  • Using data and management information to enable effective workforce planning
  • Hand-on and detailed oriented
  • Proven knowledge of Project Manager and PMO Policies , processes & Procedures, methodologies and toolsets.
  • Financially and Commercially aware
  • Knowledge of Lifecycle Management
  • Negotiation skills
  • Knowledge of Military/ Naval contracts and processes
