Senior Buyer - Indirect Procurement - Construction
A Senior Buyer - Indirect Procurement with a background of construction is required to work on a twelve month contract, with the possibility of extension for our Engineering client based in Lancashire.
This is a long term contract.
Overview of the Senior Buyer contract role
Job Description: Senior Buyer, Indirect Procurement The Role: To support our client' Air Sector business an opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join the existing Capital & Construction procurement team.
The successful candidate will be required to manage the end to end procurement process of Construction and Plant & Equipment projects.
These projects typically include; key infrastructure upgrades, utilities installation & removal, building refurbishments, office accommodation upgrades, introduction of manufacturing plant & equipment and site rationalisation work.
Key skills required for the Senior Buyer
Experience within construction and/or plant & equipment categories
Strong negotiation and communication skills
Good understanding of construction & engineering processes
Knowledge / experience of JCT / NEC contracts
Knowledge / experience of CDM (Construction Design Management)
The role is based in Lancashire - commutable from Preston, Blackpool, Chorley, Leyland, Blackburn, Darwen, Burnley, Skipton, Stockport, Manchester, Warrington, Wigan, Bolton, Bury, Rochdale and Oldham with excellent access from Liverpool, Lancaster and Leeds
