The F-35 SPHM team have a requirement for an experienced Java software engineer to form part of a small team in development and delivery of a well bounded software product. The experience required would typically come from 5+ years effective working in a Software Environment with significant Java elements. Previous knowledge of the F-35 programme and in particular the 'SPHM product' would be advantageous but not essential. The role would suit someone who is able to work in a fast paced environment as part of a team, delivering to agreed timescales.
Specific toolsets include:
1. Java Standard Edition (Java SE) and J2EE/Java Enterprise Edition (Java EE) applications2. Web applications using Java EE application servers, such as WebLogic Server, JavaServer Pages (JSPs) and Java Servlets3. JavaScript, JavaServer Faces (JSF), AJAX, Spring, HTML,XHTML, DHTML, XML, JAXB, DOM, and CSS4. Oracle databases and Java Persistence Architecture (JPA), or related capabilities
Provide Java knowledge and experience into a small sotware centric team charged with developing and maturing SJT through a step change.The individual will be conversant with Software standards and their applicability to the criticality to software tools such as the SJT toolset.The role requires liaison with the software team who are split between Samlesbury and Yeovil. The role requires support to the training and coaching of less experienced members of the team. The role will provide support to the SJT lead, in understanding the Java capabilities and exploiting these in the delivery of a more effective SJT toolset. Responsibility will include the test and delivery of the product, to the programme goals and timescales, and in line with governance processes.
