Systems Engineer - Requirements, Data definition, Software Toolsets
A Systems Engineer with Requirements experience is required to work on a six month contract (WITH THE POSSIBILITY OF EXTENSION) for our Defence client based in Luton.
This is a contract for our client who is a world leader in airborne radars for both surveillance and fire control applications. Their portfolio extends from mechanically scanned radars to the latest software-based active electronically scanned array technology.

Statement of Work
Our client' next generation of electronically scanned radar systems will be available with specialist software toolsets that allow the end-user to configure their system with mission specific capabilities and to replay and analyse the data recorded by the system during a mission.
A systems engineering contractor is required to undertake the activities in this statement of work, developing requirement specifications and interface control / data definition documents in support of the software toolsets for both the ECRS Mk2 radar system to be fitted to the Eurofighter Typhoon multi-role combat aircraft and the MRFS radar system being developed for the UK's next generation combat aircraft.
- ECRS Mk2 programming and analysis requirements
In collaboration with the ECRS Mk2 development team, capture and refine the requirements for ECRS Mk2 operational roles, supporting 'mission loadable elements' and post mission analysis. These shall be captured in Azure DevOps and be used to define a software toolset that will programme and analyse the ECRS Mk2.
- ECRS Mk2 interface control / data definition
In collaboration with the ECRS Mk2 development team, determine the data requirements and capture these within an interface control / data definition document.
- MRFS programming and analysis requirements
In collaboration with the MRFS development team, capture and refine the requirements for MRFS operational roles, supporting 'mission loadable elements' and post mission analysis. These shall be captured in Azure DevOps and be used to define a software toolset that will programme and analyse the MRFS.
- MRFS interface control / data definition
In collaboration with the MRFS development team, determine the data requirements and capture these within an interface control / data definition document.
The role is based in Luton, Bedfordshire - commutable from Watford, St Albans, Aylesbury, Milton Keynes, Bedford and Stevenage with excellent access from London
