Contract:6 Months
Based: Samlesbury
Hourly Rate: £21.38 Paye or £28.63 Umbrella inside IR35
37 Hours per week
Overview
This role sits within the General Systems Value Team, responsible for managing a number of strategic and critical suppliers. The successful candidate will support the delivery of high-quality procurement activity, supplier management, and cost-effective solutions to meet customer and business needs.
Skills:
- Strong negotiation skills (Terms & Conditions, pricing, contracts)
- Supplier relationship management
- Knowledge of procurement processes and frameworks (e.g., Supplier Management Framework)
- Understanding of ERP systems and maintaining accurate order data
- Order Book Management and reporting/metric interpretation
The Job
- Negotiating Terms & Conditions, Price Agreements and contractual documents with suppliers, resolving areas of conflict where required.
- Maintaining strong, effective and professional supplier relationships.
- Working with suppliers to develop innovative, value-for-money solutions aligned to current and future customer requirements.
- Understanding Purchase Order budgets and identifying opportunities for cost reduction or avoidance through effective negotiation.
- Attending key meetings, including on-site supplier reviews.
