Weights Engineer with is required to work on a six month contract, with the possibility of extension for our Defence client based in Glasgow

Overview of the Weights Engineer contract role
The primary role of a Principal Weights Engineer is to estimate, manage and report accurate weight and centre of gravity information for multiple systems over the whole engineering lifecycle from concept design delivery. They shall also support and lead Senior Weight Engineers, checking and approving calculations/documents and addressing issues raised by Weight Engineers.
Key skills required for the Weight Engineer
- Typically degree qualified, likely to be in a technology, engineering or science related discipline.
- Meet the requirements for registration as Chartered Engineer with the Engineering Council and preferably be a member of a relevant Professional Body.
- Experience in engineering or a defence related industry.
The role is based in Glasgow - Commutable from Kilmarnock, Paisley, Greenock, Stirling and Falkirk with excellent access from Edinburgh
