IT Project Manager ~ WMS & TMS
The IT Project Manager will be the person responsible for the delivery of all IT workstreams to the wider project, and will work under the direction of the overall Project Manager, and will also be supported and directed by a Project Portfolio or Programme Director from the IT Department. You will undertake key activities such as stakeholder management, including supplier management, client management, operations (the IT internal customer service), management, all IT workstreams, including testing. You will also be responsible for project planning, ensuring that the project is delivered within the definition of the Project Management Methodology (CPM) and that all CPM specified documents, appropriate to the project, receive effective treatment and are delivered in good order, and signed-off, as required. You will have at least 5 years’ experience in leading Operational (WMS/TMS) Systems Implementation projects in Logistics/Supply Chain roles. You should have a strong familiarity with the key logistics systems, such as Warehouse Management, Transport Management and Integration Systems.
IT Business Analyst ~ Blue Yonder (formerly JDA) Dispatcher Warehouse Management System
IT Business Analyst role requires a combination of first-class analysis and document writing skills, combined with strong knowledge of the logistics/supply chain industry with exposure to Blue Yonder (formerly JDA) Dispatcher Warehouse Management System A proven track record of both Operational and Systems knowledge, with very strong operational knowledge WMS / TMS experience. They ensure that all changes / functional specifications meet the real-time business stated requirements, and where necessary define the interface mappings or functionality changes required (the “what”, but not the technical details of “how” they would be achieved – this would be performed by the relevant application teams/providers). Working with the Tester/Test Manager. The BA will work to support them in defining the relevant test cases and conditions, define test data needed, and write the necessary test scripts for functional and then integration testing (often performed with the client). The IT BA will perform a handover of the project to an IT Implementer, informing them of all relevant information required to support the project through the Go-live and post-implementation periods.
IT Implementer ~ Blue Yonder (formerly JDA) Dispatcher Warehouse Management System
The Implementer role will be concerned with supporting the deployment of the solution to the site / users. For most implementations there will be a “Cutover” where the current systems are taken off-line and the new system will be made operational. Often this takes place over a weekend to avoid impacting the day-to-day operation of the business. Typical tasks will include the supervision of the processing of Golden Orders, and executing basic system tests, and data validations, once the transition is complete. When the systems commence live operation, the IT Implementer will provide user support, responding to queries raised, and resolving issues that arise, in conjunction with the Applications Teams. Once steady state operation has been achieved, it will be the responsibility of the IT Implementer to provide the documentation describing the solution and setting out the key features and processes, that are needed by the Global Service Desk, and the other teams that will support the solution in the years to come, once the project has been delivered.
