Qatar Typhoon Training Project Delivery Lead
A Training Project Delivery Lead is required to work on an eight month contract, with the possibility of extension for our Defence client based in Preston.
This is an 8 month contract with a leading UK defence business.
Overview of the Qatar Typhoon Training Project Delivery Lead contract role
The Job Holder is responsible to the Qatar Training Project Manager for the operational project management of the Qatar Typhoon Training programme.
As Project Lead, you will provide a pivotal role in co-ordinating between the Engineering Team, the Procurement Team, supporting CAMs, other Functional Departments and the Qatar Project Office (QPO). You will be responsible for planning, execution management, review, reporting and PM Governance of the subject business. A key theme of the role will be ensuring that identified problems are managed through to resolution in a timely and cost effective manner.
A significant element of the role will involve working closely with the Support Services and the Qatar Training Contract team in order to manage dependencies and deliverables as part of an overall integrated programme.
You will also support the Qatar Typhoon Training Programme Manager on other Qatar related business as required.
The successful candidate will be required to perform tasks suitable to the internal level of this role. The role will contain, but will not be limited to, the following:
KRA 1 - Ensure Air Service provision of training
Air service provision of training for EW, MSS and TDM's, Pipeline is defined, funding agreed, SOW's written and training providers engaged.
KRA 2 - Supply chain pipeline scoped and agreed
- Supply chain pipeline is agreed with function as correct training.
- Any changes are implemented and funded.
- 1st interaction with Supply chain academy is undertaken.
KRA 3 - Enact solution for GSS pipeline
- GSS Pipeline is defined
- QA course provider has been engaged
- Once changes to Support org enacted will re-engage with QA
- Provide monthly updates into PPRP with Status
KRA 4 - Higher Education solution defined and on contract
Higher education solution is agreed (both Customer/internal processes) and subcontractor on contract by Sept 2019
KRA 5 - Provide Project control support
- Update CSR each month
- Update PPRP pack
- Ensure Change/Risk&ops/WBS meeting structure is in place and managed a positive outcome form meetings.
- Update to OPP and build any underlining MSP
- Keep the schedule HUB current
- Keep the Forecast integrated pipeline current
- Support change management (CP/CR/BCR's)
- EVM /resource review again schedule
KRA 6 - Provide PM support to Weapons and Pods training
- Provide Eng support to the SoW's,
- Ensure dates of training fit with integrated pipeline
- Ensure costs are covered between Training and the services
The role is based in Preston, Lancashire - commutable from Blackpool, Lancaster, Morecambe, Chorley, Leyland, Blackburn, Darwen, Burnley, Skipton, Stockport, Manchester, Warrington, Wigan, Bolton, Bury, Rochdale and Oldham with excellent access from Liverpool and Leeds
