Outsource UK - Umbrella Suppliers

Choosing the right umbrella company for you!

If you're choosing to use the services of an Umbrella provider, you'll know that there are hundreds to choose from. However, it is really important to ensure that you pick the right company for your particular circumstances – and, most importantly – that you pick a company that operate compliantly, and is not offering any remuneration schemes that could ultimately put you at risk.

Outsource completes a comprehensive sign-up and ongoing audit process for all Umbrella providers that we work with. We run quarterly spot check audits on a selection of randomly selected pay slips to ensure that the correct levels of tax and NI are collected and that no un-compliant, or tax evasive, schemes are being operated.

We will happily work with any FCSA accredited Umbrella provider who also agrees to participate in our ongoing audit processes.

A full list of FCSA member Umbrella providers can be found on the FCSA website.

There are a few Umbrella companies that we have worked with for a number of years. These providers are some of the largest in the market and have built a positive working relationship with Outsource by providing great customer service to both our team and to our Contractors.

For absolute clarity, Outsource direct workers to the FCSA list only in relation to the employed Umbrella services that these companies provide, and only for the purpose of helping our workers to choose a compliant service. We do not operate any sort of referral or recommendation process for any other engagement or advisory solution.

In addition, we do not recommend operating via the Umbrella company route over any other form of contractual engagement. All Contractors at Outsource UK have a choice of contractual engagement options - including PAYE contracts, Deemed Employment contracts or Limited Company contracts. Which of these routes is applicable will depend on your personal circumstances, and the IR35 assessment of the role you will be completing. We always encourage contractors to seek independent professional advice if you have any queries or concerns.

Whilst we run our own due diligence on all Umbrella providers, it is important to note that you should also run your own checks on any Umbrella partner that you do decide to use, and that Outsource will not assume responsibility for any losses, claims or consequences arising from any non-compliance on the part of the service provider.

If you have any queries, or would like any further information on the engagement options available to you, please contact our Contractor Care team at ContractorCare@outsource-uk.co.uk.
