Inviting everyone to enjoy the pleasure of pączki, the star of Tłusty Czwartek, which are traditional fried pastries filled with rose hip jam! 

The idea behind Tłusty Czwartek is to treat yourselves and others with rich, decadent foods normally five days before Shrove Tuesday and Lent begins the following day - Ash Wednesday. Lent is a time when many people choose to cut out certain foods or alcohol, for example. 

The History of Tłusty Czwartek

Tracing back to the 16th century with the tradition of sharing pączki as a Tłusty Czwartek festivity. Since then, the core of this celebration remains unchanged, though historical accounts hint at the evolution of the doughnut's recipe for the better.
