Changes to IR35 legislation applying to the private sector will now take effect from April 2021
The Government announced back in 2018 that IR35 rules will be reformed within the Private Sector, in measures that will mirror the changes introduced within the Public Sector in April 2017. One noticeable difference, however, is that these rules will only apply to medium and large businesses.

A small and busy HR team needed support and guidance in understanding their new responsibilities and liabilities under reformed IR35 legislation, and in implementing a programme of change in order to be fully prepared for the legislation effective date.
The client directly engaged a large number of contingent workers, and – as a result of upcoming changes to IR35 legislation – was looking for a third party to take over the pay-rolling of these workers going forwards.
