Commercial Manager
Client: BAE Systems
Location: Broad Oak, Portsmouth (Hybrid – 1–2 days on site)
Contract Type: 16-month contract, 37 hours per week
Hourly Rate: 63.39 PAYE or £85.65 Umbrella
Key Responsibilities:

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a small commercial team
- Support contracts with MOD and export customers
- Apply and advise on commercial principles and contract law
- Draft, negotiate, and manage UK and export defence contracts
- Ensure compliance with export controls and financing
- Work cross-functionally to support delivery and risk management
- 7–10 years of commercial experience, ideally in Defence or Military sectors
- Proven ability to manage contracts with MOD and export clients
- Solid understanding of contract law, terms & conditions (e.g., UK DEFCON or US FARs)
- Strong working knowledge of export contracting, export control, and financing
- Team leadership experience is essential
- Strong analytical and communication skills
