Outsource UK are recruiting on behalf of a leading organisation operating within the Oil and Gas sector. We are seeking a Compliance Administrator to join a specialist Customs team, supporting key compliance activities and ensuring accurate record-keeping, audit readiness, and adherence to regulatory requirements.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong administrative skills, attention to detail, and an interest in compliance, audit, or operational support functions. The role is primarily remote, with occasional travel to sites across the UK as required.
The Role Working within a close-knit team, you will support compliance activities by carrying out routine checks, maintaining records, preparing documentation, and identifying any issues that require escalation. This role is ideal for an organised individual who enjoys working within structured processes and ensuring accurate data management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Complete assigned KPI and compliance checks in line with agreed processes and schedules.
  • Carry out systems-based audit checks and evidence review activities.
  • Request, gather, organise, and validate documentation from operational sites and internal stakeholders.
  • Prepare evidence packs, working papers, exception logs, and supporting documentation for review.
  • Maintain records, trackers, and compliance documentation in line with retention and governance requirements.
  • Update and maintain approval records within internal databases.
  • Monitor approvals that are due for review and ensure records remain accurate and up to date.
  • Liaise with relevant stakeholders to confirm approval statuses and compliance requirements.
  • Record review outcomes and escalate any expired, missing, or unconfirmed approvals.
  • Support the wider compliance team with administrative and reporting activities.
About You
  • GCSEs (or equivalent) in Maths and English.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel, Outlook, and Word.
  • Experience in an administrative, compliance, operational, stock control, audit support, or similar environment.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong organisational and written communication skills.
  • The ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities.
  • Confidence following established processes and procedures.
  • A proactive approach to identifying and escalating issues where appropriate.
  • The ability to quickly learn new systems, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally to sites across the UK when required.
