Job: Cost Engineer

Hourly Rate: £47 PAYE or £63.40 Umbrella inside IR35
Location: Barrow-in-Furness 2-3 days per week on-site
Contract: 6 months (Opportunity to be extended)
Working Hours: 37 hours per week

About The Role:
- Looking for a Cost Engineer to lead for cost control ensuring abidance to budget and forecast on a day-to-day basis. Updating the spend forecast and being able to articulate any cost variances. Developing the estimate of complection (EAC).
- Able to undertake advanced problem solving typically based on previous experience.
- Have a comprehensive knowledge of Business process and procedures.
- Administration and general office skills including spreadsheets/ Microsoft packages,
- Attend on the job training as appropriate.
- Able to lead the PM&C processes on a small project or a work package of a larger project
- Ideally someone with experience as a Cost Lead Expert on Dreadnought (desirable). If not Dreadnought other similar industries – i.e Oil & Gas. Looking for some logic based approach.
- Ideally some form of PM qualification but not essential.
- Fluent in Excel – SAP would be desirable. Faimilarity with planning tools such as P6 would be advantagoues but not essential.
