Location: Glascoed, BAE Systems
Duration: 6-12 months +
Hourly Rate: £39.47 PAYE or £53.18 Umbrella
About the Role
We’re looking for a Design Engineer to join the Engineering team, creating models and drawings for customised equipment in support of development and resilience programmes. You’ll work closely with senior engineers, ensuring designs meet quality, safety, and manufacturing requirements.

About the Role

Key Responsibilities
- Produce engineering drawings and bills of materials.
- Apply BS 8888 and ISO9001 standards.
- Select materials and tolerances for form, fit, and function.
- Collaborate with product, process, and manufacturing engineers.
- Maintain high standards of safety and compliance.
- HND or Degree in Mechanical Engineering (or related).
- Proficiency in Siemens NX CAD and Teamcenter PLM.
- Experience in machining, fabrication, and precision component design.
- Strong knowledge of engineering materials and GD&T.
