About the Role:
- My client is currently seeking a Development Engineer to join their Component Engineering Base Engine Team as they approach a period of significant investment in new design to meet their ever changing energy landscape.
- This role will be focused on design solutions to address challenging requirements, from projects within New Product Introduction, New Technology or updates to existing platforms for a variety of applications.
- The successful candidate will serve as an experienced contributor on assignments that are complex in nature, working with individuals and teams across global Manufacturing sites, suppliers and customers.
- Execution of Core Engine System validation activities
- New product development technical issue resolution.
- Conducting FMEA on components and systems to identify and address design risks and determine validation needs.
- Plan and execute validation tests.
- Conducting component and system design reviews
- Technical background (HNC or technical degree preferred in mechanical or automotive engineering) though other qualifications or experience are equally valued
- Knowledge in a minimum of one or more of the following Core Engine systems: Rotating Systems, Valvetrain, Castings, Lubrication, Breather and Cooling systems, Bolted joint and sealing experience
- Minimum 3yrs relevant development experience
