Electrical Engineer
Location: Barrow-in-Furness or Filton (Bristol)
Duration: 12 months
Rate: £60 PAYE or £81.05
Working Arrangements: Hybrid – 2 days every 2 weeks on site

What you’ll be doing:
- Lead and manage the day-to-day activities of an electrical power systems engineering team.
- Support the Engineering Manager in delivering high-quality design and analysis for platform power systems.
- Develop and maintain team capability, project plans, and schedules while resolving technical and delivery issues.
- Produce high-standard design documentation including diagrams, technical specs, justifications, and calculations.
- Ensure compliance with contractual, safety, environmental, and business process requirements.
- Perform technical reviews, presentations, and system acceptance activities.
- Support bids and proposals through accurate work estimation and planning.
- Understanding of power system modelling, generators, switchgear, protection, or power electronics.
- Familiarity with defence standards (advantageous but not essential).
- Strong technical report writing and documentation skills.
- Experience across the engineering lifecycle from design to commissioning.
- BEng (Hons) / MEng or equivalent – Expected
- Chartered Engineer (CEng) status or working towards – Preferred
