As a Facility Procurement Professional, you will support supply-related activities to ensure a seamless, efficient, and integrated procurement function within the facility. You will play a key role in driving operational excellence by aligning procurement strategies with facility needs and maintaining a resilient flow of materials and services.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the delivery of a lean, responsive, and resilient flow of materials and services from source to dock and other required points.
- Identify opportunities for cost reduction, inventory optimisation, and quality improvement.
- Assess business proposals for accuracy and risk, collaborating with internal teams to deliver effective solutions.
- Operate and monitor procurement functions to meet targets related to cost, quality, responsiveness, and lean operations.
- Collaborate closely with suppliers and internal stakeholders to resolve facility-specific supply issues.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the procurement and supply chain functions.
Data-Driven Decision Making
- Apply structured, data-driven approaches to decision-making.
- Distinguish between meaningful insights and irrelevant data.
- Gather, organise, and interpret relevant data to support decisions.
- Contribute to the selection and use of KPIs and performance metrics.
- Use standard data collection and evaluation tools effectively.
- Clearly define problems and assess their impact.
- Compare alternative solutions systematically.
- Identify key stakeholders, forces, and events influencing outcomes.
- Support the development of material requirements and cost estimates.
- Use scheduling and inventory systems to manage demand and supply.
- Analyse orders to provide accurate quotes and delivery timelines.
- Carry out routine supplier management activities in line with procedures.
- Maintain supplier records using electronic systems and tools.
- Resolve routine supplier issues and escalate complex matters appropriately.
- Ensure supplier performance meets delivery and quality expectations.
- Participate in supply chain analysis to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
- Support integration of supplier and partner transactions.
- Contribute to specific areas of the supply chain process.
- Experience with SAP and/or MACH1 systems.
- Previous experience in procurement, supply chain, or manufacturing environments.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills.
