Lead ILS Engineer
Contract Duration: 6 Months
Location: Gateshead, Newcastle, UK
Hourly Rate: up to £55 per hour Umbrella (flexible)
We are seeking an experienced Lead ILS Engineer to support a 6-month contract while we recruit a permanent team member.
This role requires a senior-level engineer who can both deliver ILS activities hands-on and provide guidance/tasking to a remote ILS engineer within the team.

Key Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Senior/Lead ILS Engineer
- Ability to manage and task team members
- Background in Naval or wider Defence environments preferred
- Duration: 6 months
- Start: ASAP (no later than 11 May, to allow handover)
- Location: Gateshead (3 days on-site preferred; some flexibility for the right candidate)
- SC required (candidates can start with BPSS while clearance is in progress)
