Rate:  £23.05 PAYE or £30.90 Umbrella inside IR35
  
Overview
BAE Systems are looking for an experienced Logistics Planner to join their Manufacturing team and play a key role in supporting complex, innovative and world-leading programmes, including Typhoon
  
Key Responsibilities

• Managing and maintaining the order book, ensuring requirements are accurately reflected and progressed.
• Releasing kits and actively expediting internal and external supply chain shortages to support delivery commitments.
• Obtaining forecasts and working with stakeholders and suppliers to drive improvements across the supply chain.
• Managing assets and tooling, including the control of calibrated equipment.
• Supporting the resolution of problems that could prevent operations from delivering against the workload plan.
• Working collaboratively with manufacturing, supply chain and other functions to identify issues and develop practical solutions.
• Coordinating the shipment and receipt of parts and tooling in line with delivery schedules and relevant export control requirements.
• Supporting the review of key business performance measures and ensuring agreed actions are implemented.

  
Key Skills

• Experience working within a logistics planning and/or supply chain environment.
• An understanding of logistics processes, procedures and governance.
• Awareness or experience of export control requirements.
• Experience using MRP or ERP systems.
• Good IT skills, particularly Microsoft Excel and Outlook.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships across different functions.
• Experience working within a manufacturing or supply chain environment.
