Manufacturing Process Engineer
Location: Washington, BAE Systems
Duration: 12 months
Hourly Rate: £33 PAYE or £44.40 Umbrella
Working Arrangements: Full time on site
We’re looking for a Process Engineer to support the development of new and existing manufacturing processes, from early concept through to commissioning. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys problem-solving, working with technical teams and delivering robust, efficient processes.

We’re looking for a Process Engineer to support the development of new and existing manufacturing processes, from early concept through to commissioning. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys problem-solving, working with technical teams and delivering robust, efficient processes.
What You’ll Do
- Develop and improve manufacturing processes to meet customer, quality and cost expectations.
- Support process stability using recognised engineering and lean methodologies.
- Work with suppliers to specify and introduce new equipment.
- Provide technical input to projects, reviews and process improvement activities.
- Present process updates and KPIs to stakeholders.
- A strong technical and manufacturing background.
- Ability to prioritise work and deliver to deadlines.
- Experience of materials processing (advantageous).
- Qualification: HNC/HND in a relevant engineering discipline (Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing, Chemical or equivalent).
- Desirable: IOSH Managing Safely or NEBOSH Certificate.
