Manufacturing Coordinator
Based: Glascoed   (NP15 1XL)
Hourly Rate: £20.06 PAYE or £26.84 Umbrella inside IR35
Hours: 37 Hours per week
Onsite: 3 days onsite per week
Length: 12 months
  
BAE Systems is looking for a Manufacturing Coordinator! This role is essential in ensuring the smooth operation of our production processes by coordinating training, supporting compliance, and facilitating communication across departments including Process Leaders, Quality, Engineering, and SHE (Safety, Health, and Environment)
  
  
  
The Job
  
  • Coordinate training activities to ensure employees meet all operational requirements.
  • Monitor and maintain accurate training and competency records.
  • Review and improve Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to boost efficiency and compliance.
  • Support daily operational readiness by planning process start-up and close-down activities.
  • Actively participate in continuous improvement and audit initiatives.
  • Liaise closely with production teams and other departments to support schedule adherence.
  • Maintain visual management boards and training dashboards.
  
  
Skills
  • HNC in Engineering (or equivalent experience in a manufacturing environment)
  • Familiarity with SAP and Microsoft Office
  • IOSH Managing Safely (or willingness to complete training)
  • Strong communicator, both written and verbal.
  • Confident delivering training and assessing competency.
  • Able to work collaboratively across departments.
  • Excellent time management and proactive approach to problem-solving
