P6 Planner
Client: BAE Systems
Location: Barrow-in-Furness
Hourly Rate: £47 PAYE or £63.40 Umbrella
Contract: 6 months (likely extension)
Working Arrangements: 2-3 days per week on site

We are currently recruiting for an experienced P6 Planner to support a major defence programme with BAE Systems in Barrow-in-Furness.

Key Responsibilities

Create and maintain project schedules using Primavera P6
Monitor progress against programme milestones and report on performance
Work closely with project teams to identify risks, delays, and recovery plans
Provide regular planning updates and reports to key stakeholders

Requirements

Proven experience as a Project Planner using Primavera P6
Experience working on large-scale engineering, infrastructure, defence, or nuclear programmes
Strong understanding of schedule development, critical path analysis, and earned value management
Ability to liaise with multiple stakeholders and technical teams
Excellent analytical and communication skills
Experience working within defence, shipbuilding, aerospace, or complex manufacturing environments
Knowledge of risk management and schedule assurance
Previous experience working with BAE Systems or other major defence contractors would be an advantage
