Overview
his is a key leadership role where you will inspire and lead a team of payroll professionals responsible for delivering high-volume, high-value monthly payrolls with accuracy and excellence.
You will play a critical role in ensuring outstanding service delivery, driving continuous improvement, and supporting key business and payroll transformation projects.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage team performance against SLAs and KPIs, ensuring payrolls are delivered accurately and on time
- Monitor and analyse quality metrics, providing insight and recommendations
- Oversee payroll audits and reviews (internal and external)
- Manage finance reconciliation activities and ensure timely resolution of outstanding items
- Ensure accurate and timely BACS payments, FPS submissions, and full payroll cycle completion
- Investigate payroll issues end-to-end, including root cause analysis and preventative actions
- Support year-end payroll processes and submissions
Skills & Experience
- Extensive payroll experience, ideally within a shared services environment
- Strong knowledge of UK payroll legislation and regulatory requirements
- Experience analysing payroll data to identify issues and drive solutions
- Familiarity with ResourceLink or similar payroll systems (desirable)
- Proven ability to manage complex or sensitive situations effectively
