Overview
BAE Systems is seeking an experienced Procurement Group Leader to join our Training & Manpower team, playing a key role in leading strategic supplier management across complex development and support programmes.
This is a high-impact role where you’ll work closely with senior stakeholders, international customers and suppliers, helping to shape long-term training and manpower strategy while delivering value for money across a global supply base

Overview

Responsibilities
- Acting as the Procurement Business Partner for the Training category, influencing strategy and growth plans
- Leading strategic procurement activities across international suppliers for all Air platforms and programmes
- Delivering value-for-money sourcing solutions that meet both current and future business needs
- Negotiating commercial terms, contracts and pricing agreements
- Managing supplier performance, risk mitigation, obsolescence and supply chain resilience
- Supporting affordability and cost-reduction initiatives through continuous improvement
- Collaborating with engineering, commercial, legal, programme and finance teams
- Representing Procurement in governance forums internally and externally
- Engaging with international customer-facing teams across Europe, the Middle East and South East Asia
- ravelling to supplier and customer sites as required
Skills & Experience
- Proven experience in supplier relationship and performance management
- Strong negotiation, commercial and contract management capability
- Experience managing complex stakeholders and resolving conflict
- Understanding of supplier risk and opportunity management
- Experience supporting UK, European and Export bids and campaigns
- Confident analysing, presenting and influencing using procurement data
- Comfortable working with ERP systems and Microsoft Office
