Overview
BAE Systems are seeking an experienced Procurement Manager to join the team. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in procurement practices and play a key role in sourcing, supplier management, and procurement strategy deployment.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of sourcing processes, contracting, financial awareness, and supplier management.
- Proven ability to negotiate complex contracts and work with stakeholders at all levels.
- A proactive problem solver with a focus on service improvements and efficiencies.
- Excellent communication, influencing, and collaborative skills.
- Ability to manage and lead a team, demonstrating leadership behaviours.
The Job
- Lead the sourcing and contracting process for assigned category suppliers.
- Proactively manage supplier performance, fostering strong relationships and a performance-driven culture.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure procurement solutions align with business needs.
- Use data analytics to assess supplier performance and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Identify and manage category risks, ensuring compliance with governance and assurance activities.
- Support change and transformation projects as required.
- Manage the day-to-day support for category queries, liaising with preferred suppliers
