Client: BAE Systems
Job Title: Procurement Manager
Duration: 12 months
Location: Glascoed
Hourly Rate: £40 PAYE, £53.90 Umbrella
Working Arrangements: 3 days per week on-site
Working Hours: - 37 hours per week


Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the source to pay process for the allocated package of activity. This may involve managing a team or may involve leading a strategically important supplier
  • Where applicable effectively delegate workload across the team, ensuring priorities are managed.
  • Accountable for sourcing, negotiating and contracting activities
  • Accountable for order raising, expediting, payment of suppliers and ensuring on time in full deliveries
  • Responsible for key supplier performance measures linked to functional and business plan, this includes but not limited to savings and value targets, supplier delivery, supplier quality and Partner to Win
  • Demonstrate a good understanding of Company systems, including purchase to pay systems, risk and supplier management tools.
Skills & Qualifications:
  • Will have significant experience working across the source to pay lifecycle, with some experience working across the wider procurement discipline structure
  • Good project management skills, product awareness, commercial acumen, financial awareness, risk and opportunity management
  • Good understanding of external environment and relevant market intelligence
  • People management experience of leading diverse teams of professionals.
  • CIPS certification desirable
