We’re looking for a Production Planner to join a busy manufacturing/operations environment, turning customer requirements into clear, deliverable production plans.
This is a great opportunity to play a key role in ensuring work is properly scoped, scheduled, and ready for delivery.
What you’ll be doing:
- Translating customer requirements into production-ready plans
- Creating task breakdowns, identifying dependencies, and supporting scheduling
- Estimating labour, materials, and subcontract requirements
- Working closely with procurement, supply chain, and production teams
- Carrying out pre-production checks to ensure work is ready to go
- Resolving planning issues that could delay delivery
- Supporting continuous improvement of planning processes and data
What we’re looking for:
- Experience in production planning, manufacturing, or shipyard environments
- Ability to read technical drawings/specs and interpret requirements
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Comfortable using ERP systems and Excel
- Able to manage workload and deliver to tight timescales
