Contract: 6 months
Client: Globally known Gaming and technology company!
Rate: £425 per day (Umbrella)
Location: London- Soho
Hybrid working- 2 days onsite 3 days remote per week
Fulltime hours- Monday-Friday
Role Overview
This position is responsible for supporting all aspects of procuring and planning components and finished goods inventory to support warehouses in Europe. Working with production planning and suppliers, the role ensures material availability to meet production requirements and customer demand. The analyst will manage current suppliers, develop new ones as required, and drive process improvements in collaboration with internal teams.

Role Overview

The analyst will manage current suppliers, develop new ones as required, and drive process improvements in collaboration with internal teams.
Key Responsibilities
Buying & Planning
- Schedule, plan, and procure materials and components in line with demand plans.
- Maintain continuity of supply for assigned commodities.
- Act as the primary contact for suppliers on financial and business matters.
- Resolve supplier-related issues (invoicing, price discrepancies, quality, transportation).
- Manage MRP processes, including product rollovers and obsolescence.
- Utilize supplier/industry knowledge to enhance flexibility and efficiency.
- Control procurement-related costs for parts and materials.
- Drive cost reductions on existing and new components/finished goods.
- Apply market and industry knowledge to secure lowest possible costs.
- Support rapid procurement for prototypes and scale-up for production.
- Influence supplier/component selection in collaboration with sourcing.
- Lead initial sourcing and pricing negotiations.
- Participate in supplier selection and evaluation.
- Monitor supplier performance for delivery, quality, cost, and business alignment.
- Represent supply chain in supplier interactions for procurement execution.
- Lead process improvements internally and externally to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
- SAP Buying & Planning expertise.
- Strong negotiation and influencing abilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Broad knowledge of materials, purchasing, and manufacturing processes.
- Advanced computer literacy (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Understanding of business planning processes.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- BA/BS in Business, Industrial Engineering, Materials Management, or related field.
- 7+ years of experience in Purchasing, Production Planning, or Materials Management.
- SAP Purchasing experience.
- Experience in high-volume environments with rapid new product introductions.
- Knowledge of packaging suppliers.
- CPM or CPIM certification.
