Job Title: Quality Engineer – Field Engineer
Client: BAE Systems
Rate: £46.18/hour Umbrella (37 hours/week)
Location: Primarily UK supplier sites (90%), with some international travel (10%)
Contract Length: 12 months (with strong potential for extension)

Key Responsibilities
- Provide expert guidance on quality standards, particularly ISO 9001 and EN9100.
- Conduct scheduled and ad-hoc inspections at UK and international supplier locations.
- Facilitate and lead Root Cause Analysis (RCA) using methodologies such as Fishbone, 5 Whys, and Six Sigma.
- Interpret technical specifications, quality procedures, and contract requirements.
- Assess quality performance in line with production and delivery schedules.
- Engage effectively with suppliers, stakeholders, and customers to maintain quality assurance.
- PCN Level 2 (minimum) in NDT (Ultrasonic Testing, Dye Penetrant Inspection, Magnetic Particle Inspection, or Radiography) in accordance with BS EN ISO 9712
- ICorr or NACE Level 2 certification
- CSWIP 3.1 or 3.2
- Auditor certification to ISO 9001:2015 or AS 9100
- Experience in operational frameworks, assurance processes, and product safety compliance
- Knowledge of international export controls (e.g., ITAR)
- Strong stakeholder and action management skills
