Working Hours: 37 Hours per week (Standard BAE)
Working Arrangements: 4 Days per week onsite (Potentially Flexible)
Hourly Rate: £35 PAYE or £47.12 Umbrella
BAE Systems is recruiting for a Principal Quality Inspector to join its team in Barrow-in-Furness. This role will support the delivery of quality inspections across complex engineering programmes, ensuring products meet required standards and specifications throughout the build process.

BAE Systems is recruiting for a Principal Quality Inspector to join its team in Barrow-in-Furness. This role will support the delivery of quality inspections across complex engineering programmes, ensuring products meet required standards and specifications throughout the build process.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out quality inspections and assurance activities
- Verify and manage non-conformances
- Support quality investigations and continuous improvement initiatives
- Use measuring equipment to assess product compliance
- Review and report inspection findings
- Work closely with engineering, manufacturing and quality teams
- Support the development of quality processes and best practices
- Provide guidance and support to colleagues within the Quality function
- Experience within a Quality Inspection or Quality Assurance environment
- Understanding of ISO 9001 and/or EN9100 standards
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications and procedures
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
- Experience within manufacturing, engineering, marine, defence or heavy industry environments would be advantageous
- NC/HNC in a relevant technical discipline, or equivalent experience
- Time-served trade background desirable
