Quality Manager
Location: Eastbourne (On-site)
Salary: £49,000 – £59,000

Outsource UK are recruiting for an experienced Quality Manager to join a leading engineering and manufacturing organisation in Eastbourne.

As Quality Manager, you will ensure the site’s Quality Management System functions effectively, meets all regulatory and ISO 9001 requirements, and supports the delivery of high-quality products. You’ll champion a strong quality culture across the business, manage the workflow of quality issues, and lead the investigation and resolution of non-conformances and customer concerns.
You will also play a key role in continuous improvement, performance reporting, and the strategic development of quality processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure the Quality Management System meets internal, customer, regulatory, and ISO 9001 requirements.
  • Act as the subject matter expert for practical application of quality processes.
  • Lead, mentor, and manage the Quality Team, driving engagement and high performance.
  • Oversee customer complaints and NCR investigations, ensuring the 8D process is followed and KPIs are achieved.
  • Monitor internal quality performance and support improvements across production processes.
  • Identify and implement continual improvement opportunities for key quality processes.
  • Lead internal audits, corrective actions, and reporting activities, including management reviews.
  • Manage calibration processes for all monitoring and measurement devices.
  • Drive cross-functional collaboration, including support for combined SHEQ initiatives.
  • Lead regular quality performance meetings and ensure effective communication with stakeholders.
Skills & Experience
  • Strong communicator 
  • Ideally 5+ years’ experience leading or managing a quality function.
  • Proven ability to build and develop high-performing teams.
  • CQI membership advantageous.
  • Skilled in report writing, presenting, and using Microsoft Office.
  • Experience with Power BI is an advantage.
  • Capable of managing complex improvement projects and interpreting technical data.
  • Self-motivated, organised, influential, and commercially aware.
