Outsource UK is seeking an experienced Senior Category Manager (Fleet) to join a hybrid-based team in Chippenham/Northampton. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with strong procurement and category management expertise, particularly in fleet management, to take ownership of a commercial fleet portfolio.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage commercial fleets, hire cars, and company cars from a procurement perspective
- Develop and execute category strategies for fleet procurement
- Negotiate with suppliers to secure competitive pricing and service levels
- Lead, coach, and support a small team with autonomy
- Understand technical specifications and apply this knowledge in procurement decisions
- Build strong relationships internally and externally
- Extensive procurement experience, ideally within 3PL but not essential
- Technical understanding of fleet vehicles (not engineering level, but able to grasp specifications and requirements)
- Previous fleet portfolio management experience
- Strong category management skills
- Team leadership/line management experience
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
