Support Engineer - Training

12 Months
Based: Barrow – Hybrid working
Hourly Rate: £42.71 PAYE or £57.58 Umbrella inside IR35
37 Hours per week
  
Overview
BAE Systems is seeking a Senior Engineer – Support Engineering (Training Services) to join its engineering function, contributing to the design and delivery of high-quality training solutions in support of next-generation submarines for the UK armed forces and international clients.
  
Skills 

  • Strong working knowledge of DSAT (or equivalent)
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience delivering training to MoD personnel
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to produce clear, structured documentation and articulate technical content
  • Familiarity with submarine systems and operations is highly desirable
  
  
The Job
  
  • Conducting Training Needs Analysis (TNA) in accordance with the Defence Systems Approach to Training (DSAT)
  • Identifying training gaps and producing detailed TNA reports
  • Designing and developing engaging, modern training solutions
  • Working closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to align training with system requirements
  • Reviewing customer feedback to ensure training remains current and effective
  • Supporting both independent and collaborative engineering activities
