Shift Operator

Operator - Thetford | Permanent
Salary: £48,640.56 including £11,000 shift allowance once on shifts
Hours: Shift work supporting a 24/7 operation
4 on 6 off (2 days, 2 nights)

Outsource is recruiting an Operator on behalf of our client, Exolum, a global fuel storage company investing in a greener energy future.
You'll support the safe receipt, storage, handling and delivery of aviation fuel, working closely with operations and maintenance teams.
Key responsibilities

• Operate fuel transfer, pipeline receipt and road tanker loading systems.
• Carry out product sampling, quality checks and accurate record keeping.
• Follow safety procedures and support permits, gas testing and isolation checks.
• Prepare equipment for maintenance and recommissioning.
• Communicate clearly and complete thorough shift handovers.

About you
You'll bring a safety-first approach, strong communication skills and experience in an industrial, engineering, process or regulated environment. Oil, gas, petrochemical, aviation fuel or COMAH experience is advantageous. A relevant NVQ Level 2 is desirable but not essential.
