Contract Length: 6 months
Hybrid:  onsite – Full time
37 hours per week
Rate: £26.07 PAYE or £34.99 Umbrella inside IR35
  
Overview
I'm currently supporting BAE Systems with the appointment of a Strategic Supply Chain Officer to join the Future Combat Air Systems programme.
  
Clearance requirement: Eligible for SC clearance
  
Key Responsibilities

• Lead sourcing and procurement activity across a defined supplier portfolio
• Negotiate pricing and contractual terms
• Develop and influence supply chain strategies
• Manage supplier risk and drive supply chain resilience
• Support programme reviews and governance activities
• Work closely with Engineering, Project Management, Commercial, Finance and Legal teams

    
Key Skills

• Procurement or supply chain experience within a complex environment
• Strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills
• Experience managing supplier risk and opportunities
• Strong data analysis and reporting capability
• Continuous improvement mindset
• Previous strategic supplier management experience would be advantageous
• MCIPS, working towards MCIPS, or a relevant business degree would be beneficial
