Client: BAE Systems
Location: Glascoed
Contract Length: 12 Months
Onsite visits as and when required – Expected to be once or twice a month
Rate: £25.07 PAYE or £33.64 Umbrella inside IR35

  
Overview
BAE Systems is looking for an experienced Supplier Quality Professional to join our Procurement & Supply Chain team. Reporting to the Supplier Assurance Manager, you'll play a key role in introducing, developing and assuring both new and existing suppliers, ensuring they meet the quality, technical and contractual standards required to support our Defence Solutions Munitions business
  
  
Key Responsibilities
  • Reviewing technical requirements to ensure customer expectations are clearly understood and effectively flowed down to suppliers.
  • Assessing supplier capability and capacity to meet contractual and quality requirements.
  • Supporting supplier selection, qualification and onboarding activities.
  • Applying Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) tools and techniques, including Process Control Plans and PFMEA, to supplier development and change projects.
  • Reviewing and approving supplier First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs).
  • Coaching suppliers on quality tools, techniques and best practice to drive capability and continuous improvement.
  
Key Skills
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in an engineering, manufacturing, production or quality-related role.
  • Strong understanding and practical application of Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) principles and tools.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes and quality assurance techniques.
  • Experience working with recognised Quality Management Systems and standards such as ISO, AS or AQAP.
