Duration: 12 months
Hourly Rate: £53.73 PAYE or £72.54 Umbrella
Working Arrangements: 3 days on site
Clearance: Due to the security requirements of this role, it requires full SC Clearance and UK Eyes only.

BAE are looking for a Systems Engineer to join their Digital Intelligence team within Communications and Networks. You will support the development of innovative technology solutions, working across the full systems engineering lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities
- Support systems engineering activities across design, development, and integration
- Contribute to business development studies and technical solutions
- Deliver work to agreed scope, quality, and timelines
- Accurately report progress and provide technical input
- Maintain high standards of safety and compliance
What We’re Looking For
- Strong background in Systems Engineering
- Good understanding of the full systems engineering lifecycle, including requirements, design, implementation, integration, testing, and acceptance
- Experience with development tools such as requirements management, modelling, and defect tracking systems
- Experience supporting business development activities is advantageous
- Background in communications technologies (voice, data, and radio systems) is highly desirable
Desirable technical knowledge includes:
- IP networking and network design
- VOIP
- Point-to-point radio links
- 4G mobile technologies
- Network security and management
- Linux and virtual machine environments
- Designing equipment to meet strict environmental and EMC requirements
- Understanding of design certification and product safety processes
