Qualification, Certification & Verification Engineer
Based: Warton, Lancashire
Hourly Rate: £33.00 PAYE or £44.40 Umbrella inside IR35
Hours: 37 Hours per week
Onsite: 3 – 4 days per week
Length: 12 months
  
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Engineer to join BAE Systems Qualification, Certification and Verification team within Mission Systems. Based at the Warton site, this role offers the chance to work on cutting-edge aircraft and avionics systems as part of a high-performing engineering team
  
The Job
  • Develop qualification requirements and test instructions (rig and flight)
  • Support aircraft clearance and safety processes
  • Conduct system problem assessments and investigations
  • Contribute to aircraft configuration and verification activities
  • Produce and review safety and certification documentation
  • Work across multiple contracts, managing deliverables to schedule and budget
  
Skills
  • Degree in a STEM subject or equivalent experience in aircraft engineering
  • Strong understanding of the system development lifecycle (‘V’ model)
  • Proven ability to manage complex engineering tasks and priorities
  • Experience producing system safety documents (PHAs, SARs) – desirable
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Experience with safety toolsets (e.g., Reliability Workbench) – desirable
  • Leadership or people management experience – highly desirable
  • Eligible for UK security clearance up to SECRET level
