On-boarding Professional
Contract: 12 months
Based: Portsmouth Naval Base
Hourly Rate: £13.94 PAYE OR £18.53 Umbrella inside IR35
Hours: 37 hours Monday – Friday
Onsite 2-3 days
Working collaboratively with teams across BAE Systems, you will support the full on-boarding pipeline for permanent employees, fixed-term staff and contingent workers. This includes offer management, pre-employment checks, engaging with candidates and Line Managers, and delivering an in-person “meet and greet” service on day one.

Skills:
- Strong customer service and administration background
- Experience in HR administration or onboarding (Desirable)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple tasks accurately
- Strong attention to detail
The Job
- Delivering new starter and business-specific inductions
- Coordinating and monitoring workload across the onboarding team
- Handling escalated queries and issues through to resolution
- Organising Occupational Health appointments and managing outcomes
- Liaising with key stakeholders including Hiring Managers, Vetting, Security and agency partners
- Tracking applications and maintaining accurate records across various platforms
- Providing day-one support including IT set-up, site access, ID issuance and induction delivery
- Ensuring strict adherence to data protection and confidentiality requirements
