Based: Christchurch
Hourly Rate: £57.00 PAYE or £76.98 Umbrella inside IR35
Hours: 37 hours Monday – Friday
Onsite: 3 – 4 days per week

BAE Systems is seeking an experienced Human Factors Engineer to support the TRINITY programme. In this role, you will contribute to the delivery of User-Centred Design and Human Factors Integration (HFI) activities within a complex, safety-critical environment
Skills:
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience applying Human Factors methods within defence or a safety-critical industry.
- Experience working to Def Stan 00-251 within a multi-disciplinary engineering environment.
- Degree (Bachelor’s or Master’s) in Human Factors, Ergonomics, Psychology, or Engineering with Human Factors experience.
The Job
- Support the lead HFI specialist in delivering Human Factors activities across the TRINITY design.
- Engage with end users and stakeholders through workshops, trials, and User-Centred Design activities.
- Assess Commercial-Off-The-Shelf equipment, prototypes, and mock-ups against user and system requirements.
- Conduct Human Factors analyses including task analysis, human error analysis, usability, and workload assessments.
