Contract: 12 Months
Based: Warton and Samlesbury
Hourly Rate: £25.30 PAYE or £33.95 Umbrella inside IR35
Hours: 37 hours
Onsite: 3 days on site (generally 2 days at Warton, 1 at Samlesbury)
We are recruiting a Project Accountant subcontractor to join the Orders to Receipts / Purchase to Pay team within the Air Project Finance Capability Centre at BAE Systems.
In this role, you will specialise in supporting order book management, billing, cash, foreign currency management and related financial activities across a range of Air contracts. You will be responsible for delivering key finance processes, ensuring deadlines are met, and maintaining robust financial control and compliance.

The Job
- Deliver key finance processes and ensure all deadlines are met.
- Engage with a wide variety of stakeholders across Finance and other disciplines, including Project Management.
- Ensure order intake is recognised promptly.
- Manage hedges to de-risk foreign currency exposure.
- Ensure all invoicing is raised promptly based on achievement or customer delivery.
- Maintain compliance with financial controls to support accurate and complete financial reporting.
- Drive functional efficiency across finance processes.
- Support internal and external audit requirements as needed.
- Contribute to Finance Modernisation initiatives, supporting continuous improvement in skills, knowledge, and capabilities within the organisation
